We are currently looking for several Commercial Managers with strong financial backgrounds to provide financial leadership, business insight, management analysis and reporting for a combination of Regional, Market and Advisory positions.

These roles support the strategic planning and commercial analysis for the business to drive value and growth. The Commercial Managers will have day to day responsibility for managing the commercial and financial performance of the business, embedding themselves in the operational aspects of the organisation to enhance their position as a true business partner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage, develop and oversea the implementation of financial and commercial strategies, providing technical guidance and monitoring delivery against financial goals and broader business objectives
  • Perform strategic financial analysis to review business performance and key trends against strategic priorities
  • Identify and implement initiatives to drive business performance
  • Oversee and manage internal and external reporting requirements to ensure consistency, accuracy and timeliness of financial and non-financial reporting to achieve regulatory and business outcomes
  • Coordinate the provision of accounting, tax and treasury advice
  • Ownership of preparation and management of business plans including setting business performance goals, monthly review process and reporting
  • Provide support in business development activities including financial analysis of markets, pipeline and backlog, and commercial input into project bids

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and technical post tertiary qualifications which must include CA or CPA qualifications
  • Ideally 10+ years’ experience in the relevant field of expertise, largely gained in a project based/professional services environment
  • Clear, comprehensive understanding of the link between Finance/Commercial initiatives and business strategy
  • Effective team player and networker
  • Experience in working with teams across multiple geographies and countries
  • Relevant professional experience in commercial management, reporting and financial analysis in the engineering / professional services sector
  • Leadership and staff management experience; goal setting, coaching, performance managing and inspiring others to achieve
  • Strong negotiation, oral and written communication and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated experience in driving commercial outcomes whilst effectively managing risk
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and drive stakeholders to deliver on committed outcomes
