Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, we are now seeking applications from enthusiastic, experienced Civil / Structural Design Engineers to join our NSW business, located in Sydney. You will possess experience and market knowledge within Civil / Structural design packages across Energy and Heavy Industrial/Infrastructure sector projects.

With the increasing workload and winning of several Energy projects, the successful applicant will be immediately working on high-profile, multi-disciplined Energy projects.

About the Role

  • Design of reinforced concrete and steel structures for heavy industrial/energy and renewables facilities;
  • Design of foundations structures;
  • Design of drainage systems;
  • Perform structural engineering quality review of peers and/or sub-consultants;
  • Preparation of construction drawing packages;
  • Field engineering and performing civil structural inspections, as required;
  • Preparation of technical specifications;
  • Road and pavement design;
  • Assistance in the Civil/Structural engineering components of a project proposal;
  • Delivering to agreed deadlines;
  • Report writing;
  • Ability to provide construction support.

Key Criteria

To be considered for the role, you would need to demonstrate the following experience and skills:

  • 4-6 years post graduate professional experience within the Energy / Heavy Industrial consulting industry;
  • Degree qualified in civil or structural engineering. RPEQ Qualification or CPEng is highly preferable;
  • Extensive knowledge of Australian Standards;
  • Strong ability to use structural software packages such as Microstran, Spacegass, Strand7, Rapt etc.;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong client relationship building capacity;
  • Exceptional reporting skills and project management capabilities and proven experience;
  • Loyal, team-orientated and keen to develop their career for the long term.
