Civil Designer

Aurecon has an impressive national Defence PDS work pipeline and a dedicated design hub focused on executing this work for the East Coast of Australia.  Aurecon is seeking a Civil Designer to provide complimentary design skills to this team within our Built Environment Unit in Brisbane.

You will be producing accurate detailed drawings and 12d designs working on civil works projects such as roads, storm water, sewer, drainage carparking and other infrastructure.  Possessing either bachelor of civil engineering or a TAFE completed Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree, you will have a proactive approach to problem solving and the ability to communicate effectively throughout all facets of our organisation and with our external stakeholders.  Multi-discipline project design experience considered an advantage.

You will have:

  • Have Australian citizenship or permanent residency
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a civil designer using 12D and AutoCad including drainage and sewerage design
  • Experience in producing conceptual and formal design drawings and managing drafting packages
  • Experience with Infraworks and Civil 3d would be advantageous
  • A pragmatic approach to deliver projects to budget and programme
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • An organised approach with the potential to accept increased responsibility.

It is expected that applicants will be able to demonstrate excellent technical and analytical skills together with high degree of competency in written and oral communication.
