Trade Surveillance Analyst


  • A hands on role working closely with Markets Compliance, Business Governance and Technology
  • Assist the Global Markets business in management of conduct risk

About The Role
Role Location: Sydney
Role Type: Permanent Fulltime
 
ANZ Market Surveillance Team purpose is to design, build and operate the tools and to manage processes which given ANZ the highest probability of market misconduct detection.
 
As the Surveillance Analyst, you will assist the Markets Risk function in investigating and escalating suspicious trading activity and communications. Your role will be part of an extended team of surveillance analysts performing a similar function across ANZ’s key sales and trading hubs in Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia and London and Manila to ensure ANZ meets regulatory obligations and internal business policies.
 
Your responsibilities include ensuring communication and trading controls are actioned within the SLA time frame; assisting in the investigation process into potential market misconduct findings; working with the Markets Compliance and Business Governance to improve the Markets control environment; providing solutions on trade scenario improvements and process enhancements; package and present management information for periodic review and responding to regulatory requests.
 
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following -

  • Experience in a control room function, trade surveillance, Markets Compliance or Middle Office role
  • Understanding of Financial Markets products, market misconduct and Global regulatory Obligations    
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills   
  • A mature approach to working with sensitive and confidential information
  • Mandarin speaking and written skills preferable
