About The Role

Role Location: 347 Kent St Sydney

Role Type: Permanent Full time; role will transition to Zurich Insurance on April 2019


As a Senior Forensic Accountant, Insurance, you will be responsible for supporting the Claims team by analysing and providing evidence based opinions in line with ANZ philosophy on an insured’s pre and post disability income from all associated entities. You will also be responsible for working with Technical managers to build and maintain financial expertise and knowledge within the claims business by providing department training and coaching at an individual level. As a senior role, you will work on more complex claims and financial calculations including matters under review by external dispute bodies or litigation. 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • University degree in Accounting / CA/CPA qualifications with demonstrable post qualification experience
  • Experience in the Insurance industry will be highly regarded
  • Knowledge of financial information with the ability to read and understand tax associated documents
  • Demonstrated knowledge of finance and business processes, systems and the ability to apply business knowledge
  • Analysis and problem solving skills with very high attention to detail
  • Intermediate MS office and excel skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
