Senior Business Development Manager

  • Drive deeper value relationships and increase market share via strong focus on key vendor relationships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the National Vendor market
  • Career progressing opportunity within ANZ’s Asset Finance Team

About The Role
Role Location: Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney
Role Type: Permanent, Full-time

As the Senior Business Development Manager you will be responsible for the origination & overall management of Asset Finance Vendor and 3rd party relationships. This role will see you focusing on origination of new Vendor and 3rd party relationships that will contribute to the financial performance of ANZ Asset Finance.

Vendor arrangements can be complex in nature and require a high degree of Asset Finance product knowledge, combined with the need for strong relationship management skills. Vendor selection needs to align with ANZ's C&CB strategy. This role directly contributes to revenue for the Asset Finance business via Vendors and 3rd party relationships where ANZ currently has a low (but growing) market share.

You will optimise Vendor, 3rd party and customer overall satisfaction and ensure quality interactions including credit negotiations with Vendors; and provide highly effective ‘best practice’ staff coaching on sales, credit and risk related aspects.

About You

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Proven market experience in the Asset Finance Market, specifically supported with expertise in negotiating with Vendors and 3rd parties
  • Well-developed leadership ability, with proven track record in achieving sales growth through collaboration with customers and 3rd party referrers
  • Ability to build relationships and influence outcomes and behaviours with key stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing teams (including staff training and development)
  • Previously demonstrated strong customer relationship management, networking, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage complexity, ambiguity and conflicting demands
