About The Role
As part of the ANZ Internal Audit Team, the Audit Manager will be responsible for executing audits across Group functions and the Bank’s lines of defence. Areas of activity include: operational & compliance risk management, prudential compliance, credit risk frameworks and modelling, treasury management and finance.
 
You will conduct research and execute fieldwork for assigned audit areas of medium technical difficulty, contributing to the assessment of the risk profile and controls of the business area under audit, as well as team lead reviews of low to medium complexity and risk.
 
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:  

  • Tertiary qualified, ideally having completed, or working towards completion of Professional or Post Graduate qualifications.
  • Work experience in delivering a risk internal audit methodology or similar, such as external audit or Risk. Must have experience in: designing and executing audit testing to a high quality standard, and developing, drafting and communicating key audit messages and recommendations effectively.
  • Awareness of approaches and techniques for examining and interpreting structured and unstructured data, with a focus on driving efficiency in audit execution.
  • Commercially minded, curious and with a growth mindset. Constantly delivers on assigned goals and strives to better these goals despite obstacles, setbacks or uncertainty.
  • Develops good relationships with stakeholders on audits. Communicates sometimes difficult messages with courage and overcomes resistance to audit work and recommendations.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as good listening and interpreting skills.
