Risk & Compliance Manager, Marketing & Customer Experience

Reporting into the National Risk & Compliance Manager (NRCM), you will be responsible for supporting in development, deployment and coordination of an efficient and effective compliance and risk management strategies to promote a strong and efficient control environment across Market Management Division.

The role will perform designing assurance framework and activity plans which are appropriate, accurate and meaningful to the Market Management Division in regard to relevant laws, regulations, codes and organisational standards as well as completing data/information analysis to assist with providing meaningful information to the (NRCM).

You'll be responsible for:

  • Support the development and implementation of the Internal Controls Framework including independent testing on design and operating effectiveness.
  • Provide analysis of thematic risk and compliance issues arising from control self-assessment results, compliance incidents/breaches, risk incidents, operational losses, etc.
  • Support the development of action plans and their implementation to address current/emerging risk and compliance issues in conjunction with the relevant Business Unit
  • Coordinate the development and production of appropriate reporting on risk and compliance performance and management responses to key internal audit findings;
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders (Market Management divisions, 2nd Line of Defence and 3rd Line of Defence) to increase awareness of upcoming risk and compliance activities to coordinate and plan effectively.
  • Provide general operational support to ensure an effective and high quality delivery of 1st Line Risk & Compliance Program of work.

Important to your success:

  • Minimum 5 years risk, compliance or audit experience within either Insurance or Financial Services ideally with an understanding and knowledge of Marketing, Customer Experience, Data and Digital Risks and Controls environment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with experience in data analysis and interpretation
  • The ability to build relationships at all levels of seniority enterprise wide and the experience and interest in leading collaborative working groups
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to independently manage and influence internal and external relationships
  • The ability to work to tight timeframes and manage competing priorities
