IT Audit Manager – Data Analytics | NSW – Sydney

Reporting into the Head of Audit – Technology and Data the role is to support the delivery of analytics and insights capability to provide deeper insights and value across the organisation, assist in the performance of IT internal audits and enable Internal Audit to position themselves strategically within the organisation. The IT Audit Manager – Data Analytics executes the timely delivery of data analytics activities on audits. As a member of the Allianz Australia Internal Audit Team, this role also helps to provide assurance, insights and credible challenge to the Allianz Retire+ start-up, covering both its new and legacy business.

You'll be responsible for:

* Supporting the development and leading the roll out of Internal Audit's data analytics strategy and continued growth in this program.
* Partnering with other internal auditors and business stakeholders to execute IT internal audits and understand data sources and business challenges to design creative approaches to identify, evaluate and communicate risk and opportunities to drive results.
* Leading and executing high quality data analytics engagements on audits (e.g. planning, scoping, fieldwork, reporting and follow up) and ensuring compliance with the international standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors and with Allianz policies and procedures.
* Preparing high quality, value adding, internal audit reports that are accurate and succinct with issues clearly articulated. This includes identification of root causes, where possible and thematic issues and the presentation of findings to senior management and the Chief Audit Executive.
* Supporting the Internal Audit risk assessment process and annual audit planning through data analytics (observations and conclusions made from data analytics), as well as through relationships and communications with stakeholders.


Important to your success:

* Relevant qualifications in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce or equivalent field(s)
* A strong technical grounding in SQL, SAS, R, Python or other programming languages
* Experience extracting and analysing data from complex data sets and systems and communicating analytics results visually and to senior stakeholders
* Experience working in IT audit/IT risk management
* An awareness of the appropriateness of applying rules-based analytics and data driven analytics
* Structured problem solving skills and creative and courageous in suggesting and contributing to continuous improvement
