About the Role

Working within the Distributed Energy team, the Test and Verification Engineer focuses on expanding AGL’s offerings in the Behind the Meter market, including solar, energy storage systems and Electric Vehicles (EVs).

You will work closely with Distributed Energy colleagues to develop and execute testing processes for new products.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Support AGL in supplying high quality, proven products to its customers through driving the test and verification strategy, taking output from AGL’s experience in virtual power plant, EV and demand and response programs and subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Support AGL in achieving industry-leading performance in terms of
  • Design and develop methodologies that enable verification of new products, in accordance with related industry and AGL internal standards
  • Support investigation and rapid resolution of technical issues detected via audits, customer complaints and orchestration testing
  • Develop and execute testing processes to determine the performance specifications or functional requirements for new products and testing methods for according to related industry standards and AGL internal requirements
  • Validate general operation and remote-control functionality for solar inverters, energy storage systems and EV chargers
  • Proactive identification of potential risks, investigate solutions to mitigate those risks and escalate where applicable in early stage

About You

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical or Electronic disciplines
  • Ability to accomplish technical tasks while working independently as well as in a team environment with other engineers
  • Experience with product verification testing for integration of hardware or software products
  • Skilled in hands on laboratory work, executing investigative tests and experiments
  • Experience in new product introduction environment
  • Experience in employing statistical tools to draw insights from test data
