Supplier Relationship Manager


The Supplier Relationship Manager is accountable for building and developing effective Partner relationships of our key Managed Service Contracts to support the AGL business and deliver contract objectives. By engaging closely with key stakeholders and the business, the Supplier Relationship Manager will work with our key Partner/s to align and respond to our customer needs and support a culture of continuous service improvement within our operational environments.

Key responsibilities of this role

  • Building and strengthening partner relationships to drive high-quality IT services and performance that delivers operational excellence and authentic business value
  • Monitoring and driving achievement of defined operational performance SLAs and targets, holding partners accountable to performance agreements; and collaborating with partners to implement course corrections and mitigation strategies as needed
  • Implementing the governance framework to ensure partner performance, business outcomes delivering and minimisation of risk exposure including periodic reviews as required
  • Implementing and managing a Continuous Service Improvement process with partners and leverage CSI initiatives to create additional value over and above the contract requirements
  • Working collaboratively with various stakeholders, partners and colleagues to identify areas of interdependence and improvement in service quality and delivery
  • Liaising with procurement partners to review, report on and revise contractual agreements as necessary including periodic oversight and execution of vendor assessment and requalification
  • Acting as designated primary contact for partner operational and performance issues and requests from within the business, which includes processing contractual interpretations complaints, appeals, disputes and resolutions

The successful applicant will be experienced and competent in the following:

  • Relevant qualifications in Information Technology and Management
  • Extensive contract management experience with IT vendors and suppliers
  • Experience and keen skills in managing an outsourced IT vendor model
  • Proven ability to build strong partner relationships and drive business objectives/outcomes
  • Strong knowledge across Service Delivery and Operations in an outsourcing environment
  • Superior interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to build strategic relationships and collaborate with and influence others to achieve positive outcomes
  • Highly developed communication, facilitation, presentation, analytical and reporting skills
  • Excellent analytical problem solving and decision-making skills
