It’s an extraordinary time for the energy sector. A time of complex challenges and unprecedented opportunities.

At AGL we have the scale, resources and ambition to take the lead and make real the possibilities the future holds. We’re renewing and expanding our portfolio of sources and products to make them more sustainable, reliable, affordable and useful for all Australians.

That’s what we call progress. To achieve it, we’re bringing together people with unique stories, perspectives, and talent – and we need yours too.

At AGL, we believe progress is powered by our people. Let us empower you to make a positive difference and help bring progress to life.

About the Role

At AGL we have a passionate belief in progress – technological and human - that’s why we are reviewing how we develop our greatest asset - our people.

The establishment of a new operating model for L&D will involve building a central L&D infrastructure and capability, along with a learning council that brings together L&D leads from across the enterprise to co-create the future of learning at AGL.

To support and accelerate this change, AGL is offering a 6 month internal secondment for a Learning Consultant to develop the approaches, tools and methodologies that will support Business Units in understanding and managing the change required locally.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Undertaking an assessment of learning programs, delivery systems and providers across the enterprise
  • Designing and delivering self-assessment tools to support business units in identifying and managing the change required to align with the new operating model
  • Developing and refining governance documents aligned to the new operating model
  • Facilitating engagement with key stakeholders across the business
  • Leading the delivery of specified enterprise programs
  • Assessing learning suppliers against enterprise standards
  • Updating knowledge management tools including The Grid to ensure content is up to date and aligned with the evolution of the L&D operating model

About You

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Experience in designing and delivering learning programs, ideally within AGL
  • Demonstrated capability in conducting learning needs analysis and working with competency frameworks
  • Proficiency in managing and delivering organisational change
  • Foundational understanding of learning governance frameworks and standards management
  • Experience in applying contemporary processes and technologies across the learning spectrum
  • Experience in working across different business units and managing both internal and external stakeholders to deliver key business outcomes
  • Vendor management experience including sourcing, selection and contract management
