Reconciliation Analyst


As part of the Market Reconciliation team, you will be responsible reconciliation and payment of approximately $4 billion in network charges and $5 billion in energy invoices annually.

The purpose of the team is to ensure the accuracy of invoices and reduce the risk of overpayments and billing errors, in accordance with AGL risk strategy, relevant B2B procedures, jurisdictional time frames and regulatory and contractual requirements.

This role is a 7month contract position.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure delivery on specific goals/targets in the Compliance Risk and Assurance roadmap that are assigned to you
  • Reviewing the governance of invoice payments and guiding offshore for processing of invoice payments
  • Performing the BAU Sold vs. Billed (Electricity) monthly reconciliation
  • Performing the BAU AEMO Reconciliation (Electricity) monthly reconciliation
  • Analysing and shape the Sold vs Billed (Electricity) initiative
  • Analysing and shape the AEMO Reconciliation (Electricity) initiative

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Significant experience in designing and executing SQL queries in SAP HANA to query retail billing information and meter reads / consumption
  • Knowledge of BRAVE (Bravo Standing Data Reconciliation module used by AEMO)
  • Knowledge of NBV (Network Bill Validation)
  • Strong analysis experience using Excel
  • Strong experience in the energy industry is advantageous
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with the ability to recommend and drive a solution to completion
