Operational Analayst


An exciting opportunity has become available for an Operational Analyst to join our high performing Functional Billing team in a permanent capacity.

A functional expert in systems and processes, you will support change, management relationships and performance across multiple vendors, and work with internal stakeholders involved with delivery of billing services.

Within this role you will use your SAP knowledge to proactively analyse trends and costs to inform the improvement agenda, as well as ensuring AGL’s processes are controlled, monitored and evaluated for risk and regulatory compliance.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Analyse and optimise AGL’s billing systems and processes
  • triage and prioritise issues, providing functional expertise to ensure quick resolution to issues and implement learnings
  • partner with lateral stakeholders to identify and prioritise opportunities for operational improvements impacting the billings function.
  • maintain a focus on and deliver continuous improvement opportunities to operations that enhance delivery, cost, brand, and customer experience
  • maintain a strong focus on sustainable processes, reporting and practices to enable agility in delivery with a focus on cost
  • build and maintain collaborative relationships across businesses to proactively manage internal and external impacts to delivery
  • maintain full process documentation within AGL’s process framework including process maps, work instructions, call centre processes, functional & technical documentation.

About You

A problem solver by nature, you look to get to the root of the problem and use your experience and creative skills to find solutions.

Additionally, you will bring tertiary qualifications or equivalent and will have a collaborative nature, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

To be successful you’ll have:

  • Demonstratable knowledge of billing functions with proven experience as an operational or functional analyst
  • strong data analytics and interpretation skills along with strong oral and written (including presentation) communication skills
  • advanced problem-solving skills coupled with proven abilities in accuracy and attention to detail
  • strong internal and external stakeholder management ability with a proactive communication style
  • SQL, SAP, Agile & Lean methodology knowledge and hands on experience would also be highly regarded.
