About the Role

Future Business function develops customer innovation strategy, product roadmap and identify new technologies. Join a small group of extremely talented and innovative technologists/analysts and support in the development of the innovation thesis.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Undertake detailed analysis to establish the innovation thesis that explains the strategic themes and opportunity areas that are a priority for the business and help establish what topics to pursue
  • Identify potential growth opportunities (organic or acquisition) and undertaking detailed market research and business case development to support
  • Maintain research agenda and delivers high quality research that creates competitive and market awareness
  • Undertake and produce customer, competitor and industry research reports outlining energy sector technologies trend
  • Business analysis activities, workshop design and elicitation, production of business requirements, reviewing existing solutions, leveraging a range of tools and documentation for agile, waterfall and business deliveries

About You

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Strong knowledge of the Australian energy or utility industry is desirable, and/or the ability to develop industry awareness demonstrated in a different industry
  • Extensive experience using analytical software with advanced MS Excel skills
  • Strong skills in producing high quality research and able to simplify and communicate complex information with clarity
  • Experience with market penetration research and utilizing internal & external sources of information and data
  • A detailed understanding of strategic frameworks and have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate and influence different stakeholders
