Engineering Manager – Torrens Island and Barker Inlet


As the Engineering Manager, you will lead our technical engineering experts to support the operations of the Torrens Island and Barker Inlet Power Stations. You will develop and deliver our Asset Strategy and Asset Management Plans and ensure these are consistent with the Group Operations engineering disciplines and standards, that support the achievement of the assets’ operational and financial objectives and targets.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Provide exceptional leadership and lead the way with embedding our Group Operations and Leadership values
  • Work in collaboration with Technical Services and other Engineering Managers, develop, implement, and maintain Technical standards across the Torrens Island and Barker Inlet assets
  • Develop and maintain effective asset strategies and asset management plans that support the overall Group Operations portfolio of generation assets strategic and operational objectives and achievement of the assets’ Key Performance Metrics
  • Develop and maintain an effective risk control framework
  • Ensure asset strategy and asset management plans comply with all relevant industry and environmental legislation and regulations including maintenance of the Generator Performance Standard compliance requirements
  • Ensure that all Health, Safety and Environment Systems and goals are introduced and adhered to while meeting the organisations policies and standards for HSE Management

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A tertiary degree in Mech/Elec/Chem Engineering and be CPEng qualified
  • Extensive experience within the energy industry (or oil, mining or defence industry) operating large-scale plants
  • Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with thermal power stations
