Energy Sales Executive


The Role

The Energy Sales Team is responsible for executing sales to acquire and retain high-value gas and electricity customers.

Your role will be to focus on building and maintaining effective customer relationships and to consistently contribute to the success of the team by effectively communicating and providing an exceptional customer experience.


Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Build and maintain relationships with business customers through direct contact (phone and email) to create opportunities for the sale of gas and electricity products, with an emphasis on cross-selling fuels
  • Manage sales opportunities to ensure all customers are engaged and sold to in line with agreed timeframes
  • Accomplish profitable gas and electricity sales in line with sales campaigns, to both individual business customers and the multi-site customer base
  • Engage internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of initiatives as identified in the strategic account plan and sales initiatives
  • Manage your pipeline to deliver an end to end customer solution

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Previous experience and success working in a similar phone-based sales role ideally within the Energy industry or a similar sales environment
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to identify buying influencers to achieve high-value sales contracts
  • A sales approach that is focused on the long-term strategy and provides creative solutions to the customer
  • The capability to create growth opportunities and manage your sales pipeline
