Business Improvement Specialist


Reporting into the Business Improvement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Business Improvement team in delivering operating excellence, efficiencies and productivity within agreed timeframes and agreed budgets across all aspects of the business.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Proactively identify, scope and prepare business cases for opportunities to improve processes in conjunction with process owners/managers.
  • Prepare/review project charters, idea forms and timetables for identified process improvement projects.
  • Support Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Projects and facilitate workshops to drive DMAIC principles.
  • Facilitate Kaizens, 5S programs, current state analysis, future state design, gap analysis and transformation roadmaps workshops with project teams.
  • Implement new improvements to support the strategic direction of the business unit.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • Substantial experience working in a project management role with exposure to LEAN or process improvements.
  • An engineering degree or qualifications in project management or similar will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in delivering improvement programs or projects in an industrial, manufacturing, supply chain or defense environment.

This would suit a technical graduate or experienced project engineer who is wishing to utilise their technical capability within the Project Management and Business Improvement.
