About the Role

The Marketing Content Specialist will drive best practice content plans and production to support the overall strategic objectives across acquisition, retention, digital, brand and customer experience.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop commercially focused marketing content plans for residential and business customers using customer insights, analytics and best practice content knowledge
  • Work with creative and content agencies and suppliers to produce and manage best in class, commercially-focused content in AGL’s tone of voice that includes copy, infographics, articles, video and images
  • Create content distribution and amplification channel plans for web, social media, customer communications, forums and any other identified channels
  • Manage agency relationships for successful delivery of content production and media campaigns including briefing, reviewing, coordinating approval and sign off, and coordinating relevant financial processes
  • Manage and optimise content ads on Facebook, Taboola, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram and reviewing audience targeting and delivery specifications
  • Utilise an understanding of SEO best practice and tools such as SEMrush to seek opportunities to enhance organic traffic performance for content assets
  • Analyse and report on success of content campaigns and gathering insights for optimisation of work

About You

You will be a self-driven individual, passionate about digital and content marketing. You will have the ability to manage and communicate with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced environment.

To be successful you’ll have:

  • Proven experience in a digital and content marketing environment
  • Comprehensive writing experience with strong attention to detail and an understanding of how to optimize content for SEO
  • Experience in briefing and creating multimedia content assets include video and made-for-social content assets
  • Experience within an agency environment or robust agency briefing and management skills
  • High quality influencing, negotiation, interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Experience with the Adobe Stack for analytics, audience management, content and social media is advantageous
