About the Role 

Have you got experience in establishing assessment processes and frameworks to support more efficient and effective management of competency? This role will be for you!

Due to internal progression, a new opportunity has arisen for an applicant who has previous experience in training, competencies and managing the delivery of all training and assessment of skills.

In this role you will be solely responsible for managing your role autonomously whilst working within a team. Reporting to the Competency and Learning Manager, you will be highly proficient in the use of Learning Management Systems and will have demonstrated experience in influencing in terms of how training and competency should be managed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the ongoing technical competency management program
  • Operationalise, and continuously improve the use of the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Report on fleet-wide training performance and compliance reporting
  • Consult with key stakeholders to build support for assessment as a tool to reduce training waste and to improve management of the whole training lifecycle
  • Provide strategic advice to the Leadership team on assessment and reporting strategies and the further use of assessment

About You 

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role working in an industrial environment such as Mining, Energy, or Manufacturing
  • A high level of proficiency in the use of IT systems, particularly Excel, SAP, document management systems- competency and mapping background
  • Experience working in large organisations in training or HR related system implementation
  • Experience working within a lean / agile work environment
  • Strong influencing skills in terms of how training and competency should be managed
  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in an HR / training. Certificate 4 Training and Assessment preferred
