Job Summary

AECOM’s Construction Services business is expanding! We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to deliver a variety of civil construction projects based in our busy Sydney CBD office.

As a client-side Project Manager with a world leader in engineering and construction services across some of the biggest civil engineering projects throughout the globe, you will be exposed to a range of projects and stakeholders across multiple industry sectors.

The Role

Our Construction Services team look to grow their team in Sydney as a result of back-to-back project wins across diverse industry sectors. Therefore we are looking for an adaptable and diverse client-centric Project Manager to partner with our new clients, while maintaining our excellent record and relationships across key current projects.

The variety offered at AECOM Construction Services will help to expand your Project Management skills and experience, while developing your career alongside some of the world’s best construction specialists in a fast-paced and flexible work environment.

This is a concept-completion project and construction management position, allowing the successful Project Manager the opportunity to work in a client-side environment across all stakeholder groups from pre-construction phase and design, through to delivery and close-out.

Therefore, a Project Manager who is proven in client-side environments and keen to work in a fast-paced role will thrive within our Construction Services business, which is currently experiencing exponential growth across Australia!

Minimum Requirements

  • Ideally 5 years client-side project management experience, in civil construction projects

  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, to schedule and client parameters including a good understanding of civil project management frameworks

  • Prior evidence of community, council and stakeholder management and consultation

  • Broad background in civil construction projects highly beneficial; Civil Infrastructure, Defence, Education, Commercial, Healthcare, Utilities

  • Confident communicator in client-facing environments and an ability to engage successfully across broad and complex stakeholder groups

  • Experience in developing proposals, contracts and managing sub-contractor agreements in civil construction environments

  • Ideally exposure to implementing project controls and working in partnership with clients to improve project delivery and efficiency

  • Strong ability to influence and confidence in negotiation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or similar.
