Job Summary

AECOM’s Highways Team in Brisbane has an opportunity for a CAD Lead to utilise their strong technical and project management skills to manage and deliver transport-related infrastructure projects.

Working as part of a high performing team, with guidance and mentoring from a team of technical specialists, you will be given the opportunity to contribute your expertise to world-class projects. You will guide and mentor the junior members of our team, helping to develop the future of our highways group.

This role will see you supporting a strong pipeline of existing projects, ranging in size and scope, as well as working on several major pursuits in order to continue the projected growth of our business.

Some of AECOM’s current Brisbane Projects include:

  • Bruce Highway, Caboolture to Caloundra - Preliminary Evaluation

  • Rockhampton Ring Road – Preliminary Evaluation and Business Case

  • M1 Pacific Motorway, Loganlea to Logan Road – Preliminary and Detailed Design

  • M1 Pacific Motorway /M3 Gateway Motorway Upgrade Project (dECI) - Technical Advisor

  • M1 Pacific Motorway, Eight Mile Plains to Daisy Hill – Master Planning

  • Easing Sydney’s Congestion

  • Mount Lindesay Highway Stoney Camp Road to Rosia Road – Detailed Design.

Minimum Requirements

  • 10 years + experience in the production and delivery of Transport Infrastructure, Highway & Civil

  • Proven experience in delivering to Queensland Transport and Main Roads Standards or similar Transport Authority

  • Advanced Skills in AutoCAD, customisation and automation

  • Skilled in 12D, Civil 3D, Projectwise, Navisworks, Microsoft Office suite

  • Undertake CAD Setup on both Major and Minor projects including setting up of Projectwise environments.

  • Proven experience in drafting and checking of drawings

  • Has a keen interest in developing 3D visualisations of Transport Infrastructure Projects

You will have experience in successfully leading project teams, demonstrated time management skills, experience in the production of design and drawings to high standard of specification and presentation and the ability to provide technical expertise to suit client needs.
