Senior Mechanical Engineer - Water Infrastructure

Job Summary

AECOM’s Water Infrastructure and Treatment Team is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who has a passion for technical excellence and is looking to further develop their experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects in a global organisation. As an experienced engineer, you will play an integral role in the strategic vision and growth of the team, mentoring and developing emerging engineers to shape our future professionals.

This role will give you the opportunity to work on a diverse range of municipal projects, and support transport, mining & resources, airports, hospitals, defence projects and more.

You will provide expert mechanical engineering design, advice, review and approval whilst maintaining the high standards of delivery excellence established by the team. At AECOM, we promote professional development and support exposure to a variety of types of work from asset management and strategic concept design, through to construction support and monitoring.

Minimum Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience in the field of mechanical engineering and design.

  • Demonstrated design experience in industrial and municipal water and/or waste water projects within a dynamic consulting and design environment - essential;

  • Proven examples of work within water and waste water pump station, pipeline and treatment plant detailed mechanical design;

  • Familiar with appropriate mechanical drafting, and 3D mechanical design software;

  • Experience in Project Management will be highly regarded.

Your well-developed client and stakeholder engagement and influencing skills along with your ability to deliver expert engineering services and drive ‘best for project’ outcomes will be key to your success in this role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering – essential;

  • Registered Professional Engineer QLD (RPEQ).
