Senior Civil Engineer

Job Summary

Following a recent increase in our long term project pipeline and with a view to future growth, AECOM’s Civil Infrastructure group is looking for a passionate and highly driven Senior Civil Engineer who will set their career on a new trajectory by delivering a wide variety of moderate to major infrastructure projects, establishing and building existing client relationships; and for the right candidate, leading people.

Working with a successful team of engineers, designers and drafters with a passion for digital delivery, you will work with a supportive team and deliver technical solutions for clients across a diverse range of sectors namely water, power, state government advisory, mining, and municipal infrastructure. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with best-in-industry peers across our organisation to create whole-of-business success for projects in transportation, buildings, environment and construction services.

As part of your role you will not only perform technical Civil Engineering activities, but also be able to identify opportunities for developing new service offerings. The right candidate will also be able to mentor and coach a junior engineers.

Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering Civil Infrastructure projects to a high standard, within budget and on time

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary projects, in an internal design management or a client-facing project management role

  • Able to self-direct and work independently, but also to lead and mentor younger engineers

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • Love working with people

  • 10-15 years’ technical experience in one or more of the following areas: earthworks, drainage, roads, services, land development

  • Working knowledge of either 12d or Civil 3d will be highly regarded.

  • Preference for experience working for Western Power or Water Corporation

Your ability to deliver on promises and to develop and maintain strong client relationships will be keys to your success in this role.
