Job Summary

AECOM’s Rail Team in Brisbane has an opportunity for a Senior Technical officer to utilise their strong technical and design coordination skills to manage and deliver rail-related infrastructure projects.

Working as part of a high performing team, with guidance and mentoring from a team of technical specialists, you will be given the opportunity to contribute your expertise to world-class projects. You will guide and mentor the junior members of our team, helping to develop the future of our rail group.

This role will see you supporting a strong pipeline of existing projects, ranging in size and scope, as well as working on several major pursuits in order to continue the projected growth of our business.

The opportunity is open for a wide array of capabilities given the changing design engineering market we are currently experiencing. If you are interested in the following disciplines and have appropriate capabilities, AECOM would like to discuss possible opportunities:

  • Civil design
  • Track design
  • Signalling design
  • Overhead electrical design
  • General modelling design.

Some of AECOM’s current Brisbane Projects include:

  • Inland Rail (North Star to Border)
  • Inland Rail (Border to Gowrie)
  • Inland Rail (Gowrie to Helidon)
  • Inland Rail (Helidon to Calvert)
  • Inland Rail (Calvert to Kagaru)
  • QR Caboolture Feeder Station
  • Aurizon Structures Renewal programme
  • Remote support for interstate projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • +7 years’ experience
  • Rail/Civil/Signalling/Overhead Electrical/Modelling experience
  • Advanced skills in CAD and Design applications
  • Skilled in 12d, Civil 3D, Projectwise, Navisworks, Infraworks, Bentley RailTrack or similar application
  • Skilled in 3D visualisations and automated processing.

You will have demonstrated time management skills, experience in the production of design and drawings to high standard of specification and presentation and the ability to provide technical expertise to suit client needs.
