Job Summary

AECOM has an opportunity for a

Project Coordinator to support our program in Alice Springs, Australia. The Project Coordinator is a member of the Construction Team and will plan, schedule, document and coordinate the activities of on Site and In Town related projects including sub-contractor management.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure effective project management and delivery.

  • Develop and review project briefs and statements of work.

  • Manage contracts, undertake negotiations, and coordinate the tendering of contracts for projects as required.

  • Ensure personnel follow project delivery procedures as required.

  • Review and update procedures to allow for improvement.

  • Aid in the develop of new strategies and plans for future support Site Facilities.

  • Promote and adhere to safe work practices.

  • Foster and maintain a culture of professionalism, customer focus, and innovation.

  • Provide liaison with sub-contractors on a daily basis.

  • Assist the PM to prepare financial reports and Project status reports.

  • Work to ensure that Safety is an integral part of everyday activities

  • Other duties as directed by the Project Manager

Minimum Requirements

  • Australian Citizens must have a TSPV Department of Defence security clearance.

  • US Citizen candidates must have an active TS security clearance.

  • Sound project management skills and project financial management skills.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience in researching, compiling and interpreting information for development and presentation of reports.

  • Experience working with various construction trade groups and a clear understanding of the legislated requirements relating to employment within the industry.

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.

  • Well-developed communication skills, written and oral.

  • Proven ability to work as an individual and as a member of a team.

  • Well-developed time management skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

  • Current drivers’ licence.

  • 2 years in project support, construction or facilities operations related industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior SAP experience is preferred.

  • Experience with asset and/or contract management is preferred.

  • Certificate IV in Project Management or PMP is preferred.
