Job Summary

AECOM is seeking an energetic and highly motivated self-starter to join our Analytics team in Melbourne as Senior Consultant - Analytics. This is a specialist technical role in the field of Infrastructure Advisory services. In this role you will have the opportunity to contribute to the planning and delivery of high-profile infrastructure projects for a broad range of government and private sector clients. We are looking for an agile individual who loves problem solving and has an excellent approach to client/customer service.

You will bring solid technical proficiency, contribute to the winning, management and delivery of moderate sized projects, establish and maintain a client base and working relationship and take responsibility for the performance of assigned tasks. This role works closely with professionals from multi-disciplinary teams throughout the AECOM business, and will have regular contact with clients and contractors in a range of industries.

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Actively contribute to the technical aspects of projects and look for opportunities for innovation
  • Analyse the systems to be modelled to assess the approach, scope and structure of the model
  • Develop and maintan analytics models for clients from a variety of industries
  • Lead data acquisition and management to provide accurate inputs to various types of models, and direct others assisting in this function
  • Deliver high quality of outputs, visualisations, customer reports and presentations to communicate the results to the clients.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years professional experience in analytics or data science experience
  • Strong consulting skills with an ability to focus on client requirements
  • Experience of programming languages, preferably a coding or scripting language such as Python or R
  • Experience of modelling and visualisation tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
  • Knowledge of simulation and analytics software such as AnyLogic, Simul8, ExtendSim or AIMMS would be highly regarded.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant numerical degree.
