Fire Protection Engineer

Job Summary

AECOM have an exciting opportunity for a professional fire protection engineer to join our building engineering team. The role is ideal for professionals with strong technical backgrounds who are looking for the next step in their career and have an interest in developing detailed design solutions and being responsible for the delivery of a range of exciting engineering projects. The person appointed will be responsible for the technical, on time and on budget delivery of these projects.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide fire protection engineering design.

  • Carry out general engineering duties to ensure quality and systems/process requirements are achieved.

  • Undertake site inspections and prepare reports.

  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Be an active member of the Building engineering team and contribute to the team's success.

Minimum Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in the fire protection engineering field within the property sector

  • Experience in preparing technical design documentation

  • Ability to achieve and maintain high levels of quality and consistency of outputs

  • Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for quality of deliverables and meeting deadlines

  • Desire to work in a team of likeminded professionals

  • Exceptional levels of written and oral communication

  • CAD / Revit basic experience desirable.
