As a Facility Manager you will be a client focused and customer service orientated Account Manager, with the ability to find solutions to any facilities problems.

The Facility Manager will comply with AECOM’s Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) policy by adopting work practices that support SH&E programs, as well as; seeking guidance for all new or modified work procedures; ensuring that any hazardous conditions, near misses and injuries are reported immediately; and participating in meetings, training and other SH&E activities as required.

Located at a major project site in Melbourne, AECOM Management Services provides a great place to work where in one of the largest organisations in AECOM. This role will ensure preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance programs are completed as scheduled within KPI’s while being capable of communicating effectively with client personnel and conveying key updates to client on a busy manufacturing site.

The successful Facility Manager will be capable of ensuring all permits (including vendors) are present and valid, alongside delivering account objectives using the Account Management Plan and reporting on Quality Assurance inspections weekly.

Minimum Requirements

  • A proven effectiveness in project management, capital planning, P&L management and negotiation

  • Self-motivated individual who is proven to be agile, resilient and resourceful, with an ability to operate under tight timeframes with a variety of stakeholders

  • Good communication skills both oral and written

  • Proven experience leading a facilities team delivering both hard and soft services

  • Client focused - Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (both internal and external clients)

  • Effective time management and prioritizing skills with attention to detail

  • Experience in using Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to manage work orders, work order history, job status and repair costs

  • Safety conscious with ability to provide leadership to the broader team

  • Ability to be on call and organize emergency repairs if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within an agile working environment is preferred

  • Qualifications in a related engineering discipline are highly desirable

  • 5-10 years’ experience in a relevant customer facing Facilities role is highly regarded

  • Strong understanding of Industrial Facility Management

  • Be proficient with the use of IT applications such as Maximo, Lotus Notes, and Microsoft Office.
