Civil Designer / Technical Officer

Job Summary

AECOM’s Design Team in Cairns is looking for a Civil Design Drafter / Technical Officer to join our Transport team. This role will require you to assist with providing drafting, design input and technical support for the production of engineering drawings and documentation for a range of small to large scale projects. You will actively participate in and contribute to all technical aspects of small to major Transport projects, utilising your technical knowledge and high attention to detail to develop and review drawings.

This role will give you the opportunity to develop and expand your technical skills by working closely with senior staff, lead designers and project engineers from a range of different disciplines.

Minimum Requirements

  • 4+ years’ relevant work experience;

  • Demonstrated past experience in Design Drafting on Road/ Civil related projects;

We are looking for a highly driven professional with a strong client-centric approach, who is looking to further develop their skills working in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Recognised qualification (eg. Associate Degree, Bachelor of Engineering Technology or equivalent) alternatively currently in their final semester of Associate Degree with a view to completing later this year.

  • Capability in computer design package AutoCAD;

  • 12D experience advantageous.
