Acoustic Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an acoustic consultant with up to five years’ experience to join our Melbourne team. With offices in all Australian capital cities and many more around the world, you’ll be joining a large group of acoustic consultants that work collaboratively to share skills and deliver projects of great significance.

Candidates with experience in any area of acoustics will be considered. Our team has a collaborative and vibrant culture, comprises a group of engaged professionals, and is looking forward to welcoming a like-minded individual.

You will have the opportunity to work across all areas of acoustics, providing you with scope to diversify your skills. Key responsibilities of the role, depending on experience, include:

  • Perform acoustic analysis, calculations and modelling on a range of project types;

  • Undertake field work, e.g. noise measurements on site;

  • Writing technical reports and contribute to the delivery of projects;

  • Assist senior team members with project management tasks;

  • Attend meetings with clients;

  • Provide a high level of service for the client and other members of the project team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Up to 5 years acoustic consulting experience;

  • Strong writing and communication skills;

  • Experience with acoustic computer modelling software, such as SoundPLAN, CadnaA, or Odeon will be viewed favorably;

  • Experience in performing noise measurements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Engineering or science degree in a relevant discipline, post-graduate qualifications will be an advantage.
